Karen
has been a resident of Aldergrove since moving here
with her family in 1989. She has enjoyed watching
her children group in Aldergrove, attend school and
participate in local sports. Now as a grandmother
Karen is looking forward to creating lasting memories
with her grandchildren.
Karen
is a long standing member of the Aldergrove Branch
of the Aldergrove Credit Union. Along with her
husband Bob, they have owned and operated three
restaurants,
of which two have been located in Aldergrove.
Community
and volunteering is a large part of Karen's
life. It all started about 25 years ago
while she was at work at her business,
Aldergrove Office
Products.
Tina from the Aldergrove Agricultural Association
said during a visit to the store 'that
they needed help at the Aldergrove Fall
Fair"
and that
started a full and rewarding life of
almost 25 years of volunteering in her community.

2013 Karen was awarded the Township of Langley,
Eric Flowerdew Volunteer Award and in 2007 was
the recipient of the Aldergrove, Hilda Reddick
Community
Volunteer
Award.
Karen
is currently the President of the BC Farm Museum
Association and the Langley Volunteer Bureau
and Executive Director of the Aldergrove
Agricultural Fair and
Festival Association. She helps organize:

Day in Fort Langley for
the BC Farm Museum.
